My name is Cara Egan and I am a 4th and 5th Grade Math teacher in Dorchester, MA. I am also currently earning my Master’s at Boston College in Curriculum and Instruction. Before BC and teaching, I was a D1 swimmer at Loyola University Maryland. As a greyhound, I competed in breaststroke, freestyle, and IM events of all distances. I have been swimming my entire life, and come from a family of four Division I swimmers. Therefore, you could say that coaching swimming is truly a combination of my two passions: teaching and swimming. I have previously coached at the Country Club of New Canaan in Connecticut for 6 years, and I am truly excited to extend my coaching career up to my new home in the Boston-area.
