Gretchen joined Black Rock in 2014 as the Assistant Pool Manager. Gretchen is from Michigan originally but moved to New England in 2013. She teaches K-8 Physical Education and 8th grade health at Pierce School in Brookline, MA. Before that she taught at Ann Arbor Learning Community in Michigan and worked as the pool manager at Georgetown Country Club in Ann Arbor for 7 years.
Gretchen coached Diving at Georgetown Country Club as well as at Saline High School for 6 years. They were the Men and Women’s State champions in 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 and she received Boy’s Division 1 diving coach of the year in 2009 and 2013 and Girl’s Coach of the Year in 2010. Gretchen was also the color commentator for the Big Ten network for Women’s Diving championships from 2009 - 2013 and was part of the All American Diving selection committee for two years.
Gretchen is so excited to have found a home at Black Rock and looks forward to a fun filled summer at Black Rock Country Club.
