Jackie was born in Dearborn, Michigan but grew up in both Michigan and Florida. Her Dad was an avid golfer, so when it was his turn to "take the kids" he would take Jackie and her sister to the golf course with him. Jackie says that this is where her love of golf courses comes from. It should come as no surprise that her sister also works on a golf course. Thanks, Dad!
Jackie's worked at a few golf courses: The Hamptons, Colony West, The Woodlands....Her first golf course was a construction site where she was responsible for the trees and the bunkers. At her second golf course she met Chuck and started college. Of course she was working her way through college so it took her a little longer than most people to graduate. So, during her summers and college down-time she worked at a few more golf courses. She worked at Paul Harney G.C., New Seabury C.C., Trigg's G.C. and Winchester C.C. After college Jackie got into golf course construction full-time and joined Chuck on the construction of Sable Oaks in South Portland, Maine. It was here that she discovered that they really had a knack for working together. So, they moved on to the construction of Nonesuch River Golf Club in Scarborough, Maine. And, just when she thought they were settled in Maine, Biran Silva called Chuck and told him about a very beautiful site in Hingham, MA named Black Rock! Having worked at a "few" golf courses in her career she knew that this was one that she didn't want to pass up.
